D. Not sure what yr I got it from my grampa when I was a kid

interesting. I just purchased half a dozen bayonets. This is not the focus of my expertise. If I thought it was that old I would probably purchase it for 10 or $15 and try to sell it for 40. Are there any markings on the base of the blade?
