Online Appraisal

D. Image 1885 silver dollars. I also have several from 1881, wheat pennies from the 1940's, and 50 or so mercury dimes from the 30's and 40's and some Kennedy and Ben Franklin half dollars. All of it has been in circulation, but was kept in a small safe since the 60's. Please let me know it is worth it for me to send you pictures or show you over zoom, or bring them in. I am cleaning out my house and planning to move and it occurred to me that these might be worth something. If not I appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you

It's worth it and I would love to meet with you. Why don't you call me. Or write back and give me your number. If you want a rough idea of value, multiply the face value by 12. For instance, a Franklin half dollar has a face value of $.50 multiply that by 12 and you get six dollars. That would be the case for dime and higher. Wheat cents are twice face value or more. Your silver dollars are actually better than that and I would rather make you an offer per piece based on the date and condition. Kennedys come in three alloys so a little complicated; but I could explain it when we meet.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value.
