Online Appraisal

D. Hi. Newly into coins. Was gifted a few Morgans and Peace dollars from my Grandfather and my 12-year-old son and I have since gotten into collecting the whole series. Now that we are spending some money on this hobby we wanted to learn more about potential value to see if we could strategically sell to fund more collecting. Just sending this shot of one of my Peace Dollars. We are at about 30 or so Morgan and Peace dollars in our collection at the moment as well as a handful of Barber series coins, some Mercury dimes, Walking Halfs etc.. Appreciate your time and expertise! (Really enjoyed reading your reviews on the site by the way.)

This is a first-year peace dollar, retails for about $125 in this condition. Note that it is a "high relief" knife-like edge compared to the subsequent Peace dollars. Selling coins is not a profitable enterprise for the inexperienced. If you are in the NY Metro area I can make you a strong offer on the whole group you're ready to sell, and advise you on acquiring new ones at good value. Marc
