D. I found a Jersey Copper while metal detecting in Pine Island, NY. As you can see it is in pretty rough shape and the date seems imperceiveable. What would be a fair estimated value for this coin? Thank you for your time.

Without wanting to offend: To a dealer or serious colector, coins this damaged are almost worthless. I’d pay $1-3 and charge $5-10, if I could get it. Nothing justifies the time you spent except the fun and thrill. Tell me when you find the gold!
