Online Appraisal

D. 2002 1€ German Band of Arms Coin with the letter D, which I assume is the lot number. Hi, I don’t know much about coins, so I apologize in advance if this is a type of coin you don’t typically deal with, or if it turns out to be common and not rare—though I don’t think it’s particularly common but I also wouldn’t venture to say it’s rare either. I’ve been collecting coins in a pouch ever since I was a kid, picking them up from everywhere I traveled. I recently dug the pouch out and started looking online, but the prices are all over the place. Some of the coins I sent photos of are listed for as much as $5,000—that can’t be right, can it? I’m just hoping to get an honest opinion or some idea of what I’m holding here. I am potentially looking to sell and have more coins like the ones in the photo, along with others from Canada, Europe, and beyond. I figured I’d start with this one to get your thoughts. I really appreciate your help! Best, Alex

Sure, you can list anything for anything. However, in 50 years of searching I never found a valuable coin in change. Buy a red book, attend a show, take a course; forget the internet.
