Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. I've looked online to see what errors this particular quarter may have and it's saying there are no known errors for this state

Not likely an error. Looks to me like this was treated with acid, which wears off the outer nickel shell.

D. Hello! I worked with you guys earlier this year to get an estimate for some coins. You gave me a good offer, but I got a better offer somewhere else. Anyway, I have more coins. My dad emptied out our basement and found his old coin collection. There are a bunch of old pennies, and a few dozen other coins. I've attached some photos. Please take a look. Let me know if you need better images. thanks so much!

We like to be the second dealer you visit, it's always easy to outbid the first after he spends time telling you what you have. In this case, these incomplete, low grade wheat albums are worth about $5 each. But that's not an offer, that's what I'd charge, I am a wholesale dealer, now that you are a skilled coin dealer you can do better!

D. Steel penny. Misplaced D mint on an S mint in the correct spot. In decent shape. Want to know best way to sell it and how much I can get for it.

I've seen extra marks like this in recent questions and just can't account for it. I can say with confidence it is not worth a lot, if you can get $5-10 call yourself a coin dealer.

D. Benjamin Franklin half dollar unknown year estimation 1691 backside unrecognizable but lead scratch test indicates inscription

Franklin halves were made in the mid-20th Century, out of silver. You probably have a corroded large cent only a mother could love. In the future, refrain from scratching your coins, which is sure to kill what little value they might have.

D. 1960p full steps nickel. Appears near proof.

Proof is a die state, not a condition. Yes, it's a proof. I don't see steps, but that doesn't matter, full steps is an uncirculated designation, not a proof one. A buck on a good day!

D. I would like an appraisal on this 2001 Kentucky quarter

Eek trick somone into taking it as 25 cents, and you're a genius.

D. 2021 crossing the Delaware quarter with many errors

Errors, errors, errors. In between all those errors you have twenty five cents.
