Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.
Photo Criteria: Acceptable photo formats are gif, jpg, and png and no larger than 15 MB. If you are using an iPhone, make sure that the photo is not set to LIVE, as this format will be not be uploaded.

D. 1972 half dollar error coin?
No error, just wear.
D. hello and thank you. i've been collecting coins for almost 60 years. i've never seen a mintmark fall off. there are also small holes on the reverse. maybe it was a bad planchet ? thank you for looking at this. mike pasternak
That's pretty cool, I've never seen it either. I can't attribute much value to it, but it sure is fun.
D. I want to know the worth of this coin
It has some silver in it. I'd put it at $3 or $4.
D. 1922 Liberty Peace One Dollar Coin
This is one of the most common dates you'll see. It's worth $25.
D. 1943 over 1944 steel cent. You can see the 4 very prominent under three. The 1853 seated liberty was also stamped 1853, over 1854. It is magnetic weighs correctly although I know this specific error has never been documented but i truly believe there will be history made with this coin

D. 1920 wheat penny, broken die error in front of face. Missing the letter U in trust, no mint mark.
The die was fine. This is a planchet lamination problem which can detract from the value if anything. The U is worn from circulation handling. No Philadelphia cents have mint marks before 2017. Book value: about a buck for this early date.
D. 1979 Letter "D" Susan B. Anthony silver dollar.
