We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

Photo Criteria: Acceptable photo formats are gif, jpg, and png and no larger than 15 MB. If you are using an iPhone, make sure that the photo is not set to LIVE, as this format will be not be uploaded.

D. I live in Toronto and got this in change. Was told its a proof with errors. Can u help with verifying this?

It does look like a proof. But once it entered circulation, it dropped in value to ten cents. Whoever said it has errors is in error.

D. I was looking for a Mint-Mark anywhere on it Wondering why it’s gold tone And I can’t find for the life of me any information on it

If no mark then Philadelphia The gold is either toning as the copper in it oxidizes or tarnishes; or it's gold plated by a company that sells them. Either way it's just a quarter, they made many fir the nation's bicentennial.

As stated two questions ago, circulated state quarters are just quarters.

D. There is silver color showing like it’s on the wrong planchette or the copper is wearing off

It's wearing off showing the underlying zinc. I remember when they switched to this composition in 1982, they said the thin copper shell would last thirty years. It's right on schedule.
