Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.
Photo Criteria: Acceptable photo formats are gif, jpg, and png and no larger than 15 MB. If you are using an iPhone, make sure that the photo is not set to LIVE, as this format will be not be uploaded.

D. Greetings, My name is Ana, I came across your website as I was researching antique greek coin appraisals. I have a silver coin I inherited from my grandmother. I would like to find out it’s value and possibly auction it. Coin informations: The front of this coin depicts Dionysos, Greek god of wine. It's nice. Greek, yes; if authentic it could be worth $100-200. We'd need to see it in person. Problem is, authentication has become expensive, and that would be a necessary step before auctioning.
D. Hello sir, here is a nickel I recently got that looks like there is something wrong with the left side of the steps. If you look at the picture with the 2 nickels In it, you should be able to notice what is different about one of the nickels. Hopefully it shows easily.
Myke, we see wear and possibly damage to a weak planchet that developed a crack. But those are things that usually detract from the value of a coin.
D. Is this mule die on reverse of coin
"mule" varieties can't appear on an obverse or reverse. there are by definition a mid-pairing of opposing dies.
