Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. Coreless clad dime

What do you mean by coreless? This is surely worth ten cents.

D. I have this lovely penny from 1985 that has been in this glass bottle since then. Probably silly of me to ask but the color is nice and I was curious if this is worth getting out of the bottle and having it graded? Should I be leaving it in this bottle? Would love some advice. Red/orange tones. Thank you for your time in advance.

This is a test, right? You are asking if you should pay $30 to authenticate and encapsulate a cent from 1985? I'm gonna say yes, but only if you can get it out of the bottle without breaking it. Then you can return the bottle to the distributor and get a nickel back too.

D. 1925 D Indian Head/Eagle $2.50 Gold coin in amazing, basically mint condition.

It's nice but probably not in as good condition as you think. All gold looks good to the untrained eye but that's mostly because it does not oxidize much as an unreactive metal. It might have been cleaned which is a detriment, hard to tell as the photos are fuzzy. Regardless they are popular and it retails around $300.

D. Is this a error coin? If so, how much is it worth? Thank you!

No but you can get this effect with wire clippers.

D. Nickel with only one side Looks to be fairly new Half the thickness of a regular nickel

That's because the other half was ground off. So let's call it 2.5 cents.

D. 1963 $5.00 bill

Close to face value this worn. But cool nonetheless!

D. 1969 s die crack 1987 Nickel stuck on war Nickel I think

Umm... not sure why these nice holders are holding these coins. Die cracks lead to raised lines not grooves; we don't see the features you are attributing as errors but keep they in mind. I see a little red paint. Doesn't usually add to value. DISCLAIMER (The fine print): We have answered your question about this coin despise the fact that it may not have met the qualifications for our complementary appraisals as explained in our FAQs.
