D. 1968 S penny. The color in real life is strikingly red/orange and it stood out amongst the others which is why I looked it up and was wondering about the grading.

you may have a proof coin. That would explain the luster in the color. As beautiful as it is, this coin is common so even in high grade, it's not worth much more than face value.

D. Double die no mint

Is that a question? No double die, yes mint. The mint is Philadelphia, and the value 50 cents.

D. 1940 mercury dime front and back does ti have full bands??

No. First of all, "Full bands" is a designation reserved for uncirculated coins. Yours is perhaps extra fine. And regardless, the bands on yours are merged with no separation. Figure $2-3 in value.

D. 1896 one dollar coin

1896-O, for New Orleans. About $25.

D. My sister found these in my mother's safe deposit box after her passing. Please evaluate. I would appreciate your help.

You have a couple hundred bucks worth of silver coins. We offer one or two complementary appraisals, you are overstepping our bounds a little with this many coins. Morgan and peace dollars retail between 20 and $30. Perhaps you should go to a local coin dealer, if you're in the New York metro area you can make an appointment with us.

D. Coin

A little outside our area; looks like a Byzantine bronze worth $30.

D. This is a wheat penny from the 30s. Is this caused by heavy circulation or was it an error?

Looks like maybe aliens landed on it. Without doubt, NOT an error.
