I found this coin it’s dark brown 2000 d nickel it has everything a normal nickel would have except the FS at the bottom the back is dark brown it’s like the back of a regular nickel u can tell it’s a little off center fro left to right it’s a little beat up I don’t know if it was made like that or through circulation I just started collecting coins so that’s pretty much it

Misprint or wear?
D. US mint 1981 proof set, curious if it’s type 1 (the worthless one) or type 2 ( the good one). It would only allow one picture but if you want to email me I can send more.
Excellent question, a common point of confusion. My experience suggests this is the more common type 1. If you look at the curves in inside the S, in the type 2 the S is much sharper and narrower..
