Questions and Answers

Q. Hello, I have a wheat penny that has a misprint, and I am trying to find out any information on it. It has the mint mark "s" in place of one of the numbers within the date. I looked at it with a microscope, and it is clear as day. It is definitely a misprint and not from wear and tear. What could the value of this coin be? Also, what should I do with it?

The US mints cents not pennies. And they are struck not stamped or printed. It is apparent from your message that you want to believe what you want to believe and there's nothing I can say to dissuade you. Also, I recall you already submitted this and we already said we don't think it's worth very much. Since my opinion doesn't seem to be held in very high regard in this matter maybe you want to pay $40 to get it certified. That should settle at once and for all. 3 experts will render an opinion which I suspect will be consistent with mine.
