Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 1973 JFK half dollar.

Just it's face value, fifty cents.

D. Dime Mint error. Obverse: Roosevelt is bald. Reverse: Large blank aria. Picture off reverse follows.

This could be struck through grease or other obstruction. It could also be excessive wear and damage. Value questionable.

D. 2018 Silver Eagle S $1 PF 70 Ultra Cameo NGC US Mint Proof Edmund Moy I have a box of 30

The NGC Dealer Bluesheet lists this at $59. Are you Christine's friend from high school?

D. Ok it's a error or one damn crazy good fake but it's got these like teeth marks on the front and some faint letters it seems but on the back it has less marks and has clear letters stamped on it idk if it's legit tho would really appreciate some advice on it I'm new to the coin collecting scene and I have a bunch of pics with a usb microscope my email is laftgfajf@gmail.com

I'm thinking it's neither. It's certainly not a mint error, there's not much in the production process that would cause this appearance. It looks like it might've got caught in some kind of piece of machinery that had gears or teeth of some kind. Whatever it was happened a long time ago because there is even patina across the face of the coin. you can trust that it's damage and does not add value to the coin.

D. I want to sell this

The US coins you can spend. The Mexican one might be silver but it's hard to tell from the photo. If it is it's worth the $10.

D. Are these considered error coins? Thanks, Sheila

No, Sheila. These are considered damaged coins. Errors are mistakes made by the mint which should show little wear of any kind. What you're seeing is physical alteration, heavy wear, and environmental exposure and soiling. Spend these and keep looking!

D. 1977 S Eisenhower Dollar

Though you don't see them very often, this clunky old dollar's just a dollar and you can spend it

D. This is most of my coin collection and I would like an estimate on value if you need more pictures just ask plz

There are coin collections and then there are collections of coins. Yours is the latter and about five dollars worth.

D. A Mariana island quarter

Sometimes a quarter is just a quarter!
