Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 2004 I do believe to be a d mint mark and appears to be solid copper.

It's 2003. All modern dimes are 2/3 copper. They have more nickel on the outside.

D. testd appraisal

i'm not sure what you mean by that. Since there are a number of Panamanian coins made in 1904 that look like this on the obverse, you're gonna have to show an image of the reverse. It's probably silver. But we need to know which one.

D. I believe it to be 1982-D copper penny with small date. Weighs 3.11g. hopefully I'm not wasting your time. Thank in advance

That's OK it's not just my time ibeing wasted. Somebody out there keeps making the public think that this is a valuable coin yet they seem to be selling on eBay for five dollars or less. Don't fall for it!

D. It's real. Never seen this before.

This is the third day in a row somebody sent me a picture of a dime flattened on the edge. Somebody did this mechanically after it left the mint; it does nothing to increase its value.

D. I have a 1943 wheat penney. It is very dirty so before I send a pic, I was wondering if I can clean it. If I should clean it, what to use?

it is commonly believed that you cannot clean coins without damaging or reducing their value. However, if you ever so gently used a drop of dish detergent and lukewarm water with an extremely soft cloth, you could probably remove the dirt and grease without removing the desired layer of oxidation that gives us a coin it's character. Since your coin is probably not gonna be worth more than a quarter under any circumstance, it's a good one to practice with.

D. Good morning, Matt here in Yonkers. Going through my dad's coins and found this. Pretty sure this is a double die penny, yes? Wondering how much it's worth. Thank you for your time and have a nice day...

Matt, It looks like you found a good one. This is the desirable double die, the 1955. So it needs to be authenticated it looks pretty good. I'm one town up in hastings why don't you bring the collection up and we will take a good look at it all!

D. Elizabeth 1981

The British equivalent of a half dollar.

D. Seems to be deeply struck ad almost 25 other ones as well

I'm not sure what you mean by deeply struck. you have here a collection of typical small cents
