We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 2005 canadian quarter. "25" is slanted whereas "cents" cannot be seen barely at all. 2005 looks as though it's been double stamper maybe, although I don't know if that's the correct term, but it looks thicker and not exactly the same as other coins I've compared to with the same date. Thank you for any advice, I am new at this!

I'm not seeing anything of note here. Suggest you get some books on coins and error coins if you are really so inclined. D. His and hers Antique dressers that I believe were manufactured by the Northern Furniture Company based on the remnant of a logo I found in the drawer and a logo I found on line. I’m moving and was looking for guidance, do I donate or are they worth selling.

This quality piece is out of fashion. A similar recent sale was for $200. I would suggest you donate it and take a justified deduction of $750. But to deduct that much for a gift-in-kind receipt, you need a qualified appraiser to fill out IRS form 8283. Or put it on Craigslist and try to get a couple hundred bucks; or sell it for less to a needy person. Tough choices!

D. 1985 penny no mint mark something with L in Liberty

Umm.... no mark is Philadelphia. Four more of these would give you a nickel. D. 1881s with reflectivity. I have n=33 of these.

Isn't it beautiful? Those early S mints had such polished dies! Too bad about the rim ding. I'd say this is in the $75-125 range, retail. Want to sell any?

D. Hello i am trying to figure out what type of error this would be? I have never seen an error like this and was trying trying to see what "type" this would be classified as if anything.... Half dollar with 8 stamped over mouth error?? Misprint ?? Kinda looked like scratch until took pic and them BAM that 8 stood out. If you can help me identify i would greatly appreciate it.

You should not assume it's an error just because it has novel features. This is surely a coin altered after it left the mint. Interesting but not to the degree that it exceeds fifty cents. D. Chinese

Mysterious! We'd have to inspect to verify it's silver, and research it, sorry! My guesstimate of value is $35 retail. And I'm pretty good at this sort of thing, so would bet I'm not far off. Good item to bring to a coin show. Looks almost Indian, possibly Indochina?

D. 9 1972 d and no mint mark Eisenhower dollars and 6 1776-1976 d,s and no mint mark Eisenhower dollars

We treat these as face value. In high-condition rolls we can get slightly more. D. Mayflower ship by HAmuth La sirene 1650

I'm not familiar with the artist but this looks like a print that does not date to the 17th Century, so much as referencing it. I would have to research to yield a formal appraisal but my gut feeling is this is probably worth around $45 retail.

D. Penny found in change. No date

One of the most important things for collectors in a coin is the date. This is merely damaged and worth face value at most.
