An interesting year. Yes, full SPLIT band specimens are rare and valuable, and negotiable if certified. Yours however has bands with wear, due to a weak strike and circulation wear. I assure you it's worth about a dollar and a half. The designer was Adolph Weinman, hence, the "W." Great that your hunting together outdoors!!

No mint means Philadelphia. It has a retail "book" value of fifty cents or so.

"Made for fun" is a good summary. I don't know what it is exactly, but can tell from the surface quality it is not very old, and likely does not have precious metal content. May have been from a gift shop!
