Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. D. Silver Dollar

A nice AU to BU Morning Silver Dollar. Those early S mints had strong dies. Figure about $45-50 retail!

D. 2017 nickel front side looks to be damaged at the mint. I could not see the mint mark. Please understand i have just started collecting. Interested most my life just never persued collecting. Hopefully you can help me understand what happened to this coin and if it has any value?

The mint is not to blame. Someone damaged it mechanically. Either the metal was ground off or pushed with force. You should red The Red Book, a guidebook of U.S. coins. Welcome to the hobby.
