We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 1909 VDBPenny, 1883 No cent V nickel UNC,1848 hafe dime large date, 1949 DFranklin UNC

Typical show values: 1909 VDBPenny, $3 1883 No cent V nickel, $5 (This has an interesting story to Google. We see a lot of these first-year pieces.) UNC,1848 hafe dime large date, $10 1949 DFranklin UNC, $20 (I would not call this "uncirculated." More like XF/AU)

D. 2009 D professional life penny, (errors)

And seriously, what errors do you see through the nasty layer of corrosion and oxidation on this ugly little cent? Please read our FAQs and tutorials!

D. I bought some old US coin replicas a while back and just found a second coin of one of the copies without the word ‘copy’ etched into it. I want to know if it is the real thing or just another copy/fake. I have included the known fake copy in my images for your reference in case it helps.

Nothing pictured is authentic. The Hobby Protection Act of 1973 requires the word "copy" but many replicas, both old and new, do not observe the law properly. Your pieces look cast and possibly plated, and nothing to get excited over.

D. Bicentennial, Eisenhower,no S or mint mark, type 2, silver dollar

Karl, these are basically just dollars, people tend not to spend them but they don't have silver and are not rare.

D. 1993 penny is larger than other pennies

Miracle grow? Perhaps put it in the dryer on the cotton/high setting.
