D. 1965 quarter no mint mark and multiple errors

Suggest you read our FAQs re. errors and varieties.

D. 1965 quarter rare color and multiple miss prints

I see a half dollar too. If these are post 1970 you can spend them.

D. This coin has errors on it. Can you tell more about this coin and its value. Thank you.

I cant see anything about this coin that suggests it was less than perfect when our hard working employees sent it out the door.

D. Could you tell me a little bit about this I have been trying to find information on it, but there isn’t any. It seems to be the only one so far maybe you have more information. I’m sending you the picture as we speak. It is a 1968 Denver penny it seems to be stamped in the front and in the back twice I’ll let you take a look at the rest. I hope to hear from you soon.

It’s not a double strike that I can see. Notice inversion of the “ONE”. This could be from another coin getting pressed into it. But I’m not an error expert and can’t say with confidence it happened at the mint as opposed to in someone’s basement. It could be a die cap or blockage error but certification would authenticate the nature of what happened. That is a costly and lengthy process and since the coin seems to have circulation wear, I can’t recommend that be done except to satisfy your curi...

D. It weights 3.0, not sure what this is, it looks more shinny than copper, maybe brass not sure but I do know in 1944 they used different minting materials because of the war. Also might have been a strike error on reverse as well. Thank you in advance for your time and any info you might have, good day.

I honestly can’t tell what happened to this coin. I think the odds of damage, such as that something scratched through the oxidation to the underlying surface or some kind of material splashed onto the coin and adhered to it or stripped it, are greater than the odds it was an error that preceeded circulation. Certification might achieve that but could cost more than it’s worth even in the unlikely event it is in an error.

D. 1969D no FG

Unremarkable, I'd spend.
