Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 1965 quarter not sure the value

It looks like he's eating a baby.

D. One of 90 coins in my collection

This is a $60 coin. I'd want to inspect it closely to see if it's a better variety, though.

D. 2009 D penny the the I and B have tails

Looks very much like a garden-variety small cent, worth face value.

D. 1966 20 centavos

For the 25 cent bin.

D. 2012 P Dime. Reverse has no flaws. Obverse has the appearance of "shattered glass". Have never seen anything like this before, so naturally curious if this is a mint error. Please advise. Thank you for your time and evaluation of this coin. More than happy to pay for your service. Sincerely, George

That mottled look is characteristic of environmental damage. It can also happen when coins improperly cleaned with harsh chemicals. I could not, in good faith, charge you for telling you this, the coin does not have a value that warrants it.

D. One dollar 1977.

Suffers from green crud.

D. 1988 P Jefferson nickel extremely wide rim

Another tapper... bored sailors did this with spoons, banging around the rim, so I'm told!

D. 1997 d penny

Looks like you have copper termites... or cent vampires?
