Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.
Photo Criteria: Acceptable photo formats are gif, jpg, and png and no larger than 15 MB. If you are using an iPhone, make sure that the photo is not set to LIVE, as this format will be not be uploaded.

D. I’m interested in the value of a coin collection that is pictured and contains three $10 Gold Eagles, three Gold Double Eagles, and two Canadian Maple Leafs Gold. Thank you.
$10 gold eagles are worth $2,400, double eagles $4,800, and maple leafs $4,980. Let us know if you need help with them.

Absolutely not. I can see they are nice but not uncirculated, and it would be a shame to miss the peak of this party.
D. Doubling on obverse and reverse… Jefferson doubling in rotation obverse and the capital doubling in a circular rotation on reverse.
Dear Lord, if you can see doubling on a coin with this much wear you must have x-ray vision. War nickels have six bucks of silver but are trading at about $4 at shows.

This actually a Philippines dollar, with half an ounce of silver. Figure $50 at current stratospheric prices.

Nice! We usually do one or two complimentary coin appraisals. Here's a trick for pre-1965 silver, dimes and higher: Multiply face value by 60 to get a rough idea of what they are trading at, e.g., $30 for a 1964 half dollar. Halves 1965-70 are 40% silver and half that. Let us know if you want to come in for an appraisal or offer. MarcD. I have a collection, these are two examples. how much are they worth?
