Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.
Photo Criteria: Acceptable photo formats are gif, jpg, and png and no larger than 15 MB. If you are using an iPhone, make sure that the photo is not set to LIVE, as this format will be not be uploaded.

D. 2014D Virginia Shenadoah quarter with no clad on back of quarter
Clad is not a material, it's a layered method of production. Quarters are 2/3 copper and oxidize readily to this color. Yours appears unremarkable.
D. I know it's the 2022 Drooling George n the disappearing comet or something like that on the back...I have seen them listed for up to $1900...I have it listed for 1185$ n people are making offers so far
If you get an offer for thirty cents, wipe the drool off it and sell.

D. Is this a die crack error on this 1776-1976 bicentennial quater? Appears on the Q and A, is there more like this and what is the value of a coin like this?
No it's a scratch. We explain due crack recognition clearly in our tutorial.
D. Noted you like older stuff but here is what I think may be a newer coin error.. The ring around the butterfly on the reverse appears on the obverse as well. Oldest in my small collection is the 98 Indian head great condition for age send picture later if interested. All for now.
I love modern error coins. I just wish someone could recognize them.
D. One more I'd come off of 63 brilliantly uncirculated Full Step. Not a certified coin grader but would put this one at a 67+ beautiful coin well preserved.
You should work for an auction company, they way you write descriptions. The holder is worth more than the coin.
D. Hello, We hope you can estimate the value of our 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar. This was a gift given to us many years ago, kept in the USA Genuine U.S. Mint Coinage Box and plastic coin encasement. It looks like it's in excellent condition, but it's not perfect, I think there are small scratches on it. Hopefully you can see this clearly in the images I've attached. i'm trying to figure out what that mark by her nose is. If it's damage to the coin this is effectively scrap metal worth $15-$20. If it's on the plastic case and not the coin then the coin is probably worth about $25-$30. They made a lot of these and a lot were saved.
