Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. Not really... give 'em to a kid!
D. 1972 S Eisenhower dollar pr 64 cameo
These are worth $3-6 depending on composition, would have to see if its' silver.
D. 1964 Nickle
A special year for a few reasons... last year they made 90% silver... but that's for dimes and higher. And first year I was in existence. Unfortunately, for that reason I can't call 1964 old, and this nickel is really worth five cents plus whatever you can get for it.
D. I am trying to get these two coins appraised. I know the gold one is 1857 3 dollar piece and the silver is a lafayette dollar. Are you able to appraise From these pics?
I'd put them at $500 and $100 respectively.
D. Doubling-date/mint mark. Small cuds/blisters(?) Slightly off-center strike/sides thicker than middle. Faulty planchet-coin rim and edge deterioration on obverse and reverse, massive lamination on reverse. The ugly duckling of ugly pennies.
Random minting terms unrelated to photos. Ugly duckling of questions.
D. 1943 steel penny uncerculated no mint mark. Extremely shiney.
And common, a dollar retail.
