Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 1958 dime curious if this is man made or possible error. Looks odd to me.

Ruling out animals and aliens, I believe it's man-made. Women probably were involved in the process too. The mangling took place after the coin left the mint.

D. I've got 3 1968 pennies 2 are mint mark d and 1 is no mint mark ,they are errors

Are they? Now that you've made up what they are, why don't you just follow through and make up the price.

D. 1967 no mint mark penny with a error

Correction to "a error:" "an error." "A" comes before a word with a consonant, and "an" before one with a vowel. this is a common mistake.

D. Dime, 2007, misprint

Please, please, I am begging, no more of these.

D. The penny has the heads and tails on one side

Such mutations are common in the post-Chernobyl era. Sorry, I should not blame this one on the Soviets. OK so if you look closely you'll see that the columns of the Lincoln Memorial are inverted. That is because somebody took one cent and smashed it with high pressure into the other leaving an impression. Heads you win, tails I lose.

D. 1973 double print quater

Books are printed. Coins are minted. This quarter is damaged.

D. three half dollar coins 1897, 1898 and 1905

You have a nice representation of mints here. S for San Francisco, O for New Orleans, and nothing for Philadelphia. The mint marks are on the reverse at 6 o'clock at the bottom. And each of these is worth eight dollars.

D. I was just wondering if there any error or what I also have a 1939 nickel

There is no error present and with your nickel you have $.30.

D. 1939 Jefferson nickel DD reverse

Setting assigned imagined error, you have a nice nickel for which I would charge a dollar.

D. 1971 Elizabeth coin

Go to Britain, were you can spend two pence.
