Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. I have 3 brand new in the Us Mint shipping box unopened.

I've gotten many calls about this. Our buy price is $250. If you sell yourself on eBay you might make $100 more after expenses.

D. It's a 1968 s I think it's a triple die error

Very interesting. But without knowing the denomination or seeing both sides of the whole coin, it's hard to attach a value. Probably around $50.

D. 2015 American eagle silver dollar. Uncirculated. Quantity is 20 pieces.

I'd like to see them but we could probably offer about 500 for the roll.

D. Image 1885 silver dollars. I also have several from 1881, wheat pennies from the 1940's, and 50 or so mercury dimes from the 30's and 40's and some Kennedy and Ben Franklin half dollars. All of it has been in circulation, but was kept in a small safe since the 60's. Please let me know it is worth it for me to send you pictures or show you over zoom, or bring them in. I am cleaning out my house and planning to move and it occurred to me that these might be worth something. If not I appreci...

It's worth it and I would love to meet with you. Why don't you call me. Or write back and give me your number. If you want a rough idea of value, multiply the face value by 12. For instance, a Franklin half dollar has a face value of $.50 multiply that by 12 and you get six dollars. That would be the case for dime and higher. Wheat cents are twice face value or more. Your silver dollars are actually better than that and I would rather make you an offer per piece based on the date and condition. ...

D. 1916 buffalo head nickel. Also looking for a quote on a 1908 half dollar in excellent condition. Thanks! I live in the Hudson Valley so could meet to show you my collection.

Your nickel has a book value of perhaps a dollar or two but in practice it's not rare and it's heavily worn so we wouldn't pay more than $.15 or $.20. As for the half dollar, not sure what excellent means. In average circulated condition we would buy it for about six dollars. You should check the reverse for a mint mark. Though I don't think it matters that much there's no rare mints that year. you're welcome to make an appointment with me in my Hastings on Hudson office. I'd love to see the res...

D. On the back

Damaged quarter. Bring it to a bank and exchange it.

D. Back side

just damaged

D. Errors

PLEASE PLEASE NO MORE ERRORS

D. Here, I sent to you a picture of the penny 1949 with mint error! If you are interesting to buy it, I get it for you! One of the rarest penny!

We are about to update our web site to state we are no longer fielding questions about modern error coins. I don't know what is causing the huge surge in those questions, probably misleading information on other sites such as Etsy and Youtube. Your penny is a penny, and we buy these in bulk for twice face value. I would sell it for five cents!

D. Here, I annexed to you an old painting characterizing time before 1776 !! My cell phone number is 347-608-3770

Looks like a Frank Moss Bennett painting. You should include the dimensions when you represent it. These things are tricky to price and sell; if authentic, and there is nothing suggesting it is not, I would appraise it at around $2,500.
