Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. The uribu is missing as well as the um on the back side of the coin

Die wear and circulation will do that. But it's still worth $.25.

D. 1967 republika ng pilipinas coin

A good one for the trick-or-treaters.

D. 1992 Espana M ptas coin

Common coin replaced by euro. Not much you can do with it.

D. Oversea coin

Might be ¥100 from Japan., Not worth much.

D. 3 half dollars - 1941 and 1942

Those old half dollars are usually worth about seven dollars apiece.

D. 1996 $20 bill with multiple errors

On a nearly daily basis people are posting photographs of things citing "multiple errors" but not alluding to whatever they might be. What I see here is a $20 bill that you should spend. If you'll note, our website says we don't deal in modern minor varieties. However we will recognize significant errors if they are legitimate.

D. 2002 P Mississippi quarter

All regular issue state quarters are essentially worth face value, 25 cents in this case.

D. 1942 P nickel

In 1942 the U.S. mint switched from a copper-nickel composition to a wartime alloy of silver and manganese for nickels. They did this through 1945 and then returned to the original alloy. In 1942 both types of nickels were made at the various mints. Yours is definitely the silver type, you can tell because for these wartime nickels only, the mint marks appear over Monticello on the reverse of the coin. The value of your coin is $1.25, mostly because of the current price of silver.
