Submit An Item For Free Appraisal

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. A Palestine 2 mils

Nice condition maybe a couple dollars.

D. 1952 D wheat penny

Just an old penny.

D. Penny thats rounded and has been stamped again with the house sideways

Looks damaged, not like an error. You can see the "stamp" is the inverse, it's not from a die, it's another coin slammed into it, after it left the mint. (Round is the traditional shape for cents.)

D. 1981 D Roosevelt dime with a perfect circle scratch on the reverse through the words ONE DIME and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA . ... is this a true error?

No. It.is damage after it left the mint. For those of you who keep insisting on asking about damaged coins and whether they are errors, understand this principle: if the die is scratchrf the device on the coin is raised because the metal of the coin would flow up into the scratch of the die.

D. Looks like an error dye coin perhaps. I've seen these go on Ebay for thousands I've also had a bunch of other websites appraise so I'm interested in getting an estimate.

It's typical of cents from the early 70s and while people are allowed to charge what they want, you did not and will not see an actual sale for a coin like this for more than five or $10. It's not off-center enough to be regarded as an error.

D. Hi, do any of these ring a bell?

Common asian coins! Hong Kong and maybe Thailand.
