Q. Dear Sir, I seek an online appraisal/estimate on common U.S. and Canadian gold coins. Vintage are in circulated/fair condition. None are rarities. There are 8 $20 pieces from 1910-1920, 2 modern $10 bullion coins, 3 modern $5 bullion coins, 3 $2.5 pieces from 1906-1909, and a $3 piece dated 1874. There are also 3 contemporary Canadian $50, 1 oz. maple leaf coins. In a separate lot, there are 49 common circulated Morgan and Peace Dollars, 3x 1 oz. bars of silver, and 127 circulated silver Mercury and Roosevelt dimes. I seek a statement on what you would expect a dealer to pay for such lots as of 15MAY22. Kindly advise your fee in such case. Best Regards, Bill Cronenberg

We offer complimentary appraisals for one or two pieces. You have a large group of valuable gold. To do this properly, you should come in. Your $20 pices alone are worth about $1,700 each. How can we reach you to schedule a proper consultation?

Q. Hi, I found a 2003 D nickel that weighs 4.93 grams instead of the normal 5.0.. Did I come across something unusual?? Thx

No. That's so close it could be die to circulation wear, or balance inaccuracy.

Q. I have quite a few coins was wondering if u can help me out if they're worth anything I have tokens 72 penny 82dsm date wheat pennies and more a a handful of qrtrs from 60s- 83. Can I just send detailed pics of whole collection

If you go to the top of our home page at hvcoins.com, you can click on "what it's worth" and "recent questions" to read all about common coins you are likely to find in change, and what it really means to find an "error coin."

Q. Hello, I have a wheat penny that has a misprint, and I am trying to find out any information on it. It has the mint mark "s" in place of one of the numbers within the date. I looked at it with a microscope, and it is clear as day. It is definitely a misprint and not from wear and tear. What could the value of this coin be? Also, what should I do with it?

The US mints cents not pennies. And they are struck not stamped or printed. It is apparent from your message that you want to believe what you want to believe and there's nothing I can say to dissuade you. Also, I recall you already submitted this and we already said we don't think it's worth very much. Since my opinion doesn't seem to be held in very high regard in this matter maybe you want to pay $40 to get it certified. That should settle at once and for all. 3 experts will render an opinion...

Q. Serial numbers 11638847-11638850 Are they worth more than face value due to the double digits?

Serial numbers of WHAT? What double digits? Need to see pics.

Q. Do You do Coin errors?..I have a Tuskegee Airmen 2021 Quarter that has a few Errors on IT! I Want to Know WHAT'S IT WORTH?

no, you don't.

Q. Hello. I’m new to learning about coinage and inherited a bunch recently. My first question is the worth of a 1910 s $10 gold Indian head. None of my coins are graded. Which leads me to my next question is there a reputable place I can get my coins graded that doesn’t require me to ship them off somewhere? Also how do I tell a mint error from a post min error? I have no idea how to tell fraudulent coins from real either.

Your eagle is most likely worth around $1,000. I would not recommend third party grading (i.e., certified holder) without discussing your coins with a dealer to see if they merit the expense and wait. An A.N.A. trained professional such as myself can tell you grades. You mean post mint damage. 99.5% of the error inquiries we get are in error themselves: post mint damage mistaken for errors. I suggest you forget errors for now, unless you inherited labeled ones. You won't be lik...

Q. I have old coins queen Elizabeth 11 1964 nickels to Paco's what should I do

Give them out on Halloween! Or any other day to get a kid off a cell phone.

Q. What are your hours online?

24/7, we do what we can.

Q. Are the vintage Winchester fishing reels worth anything?? I have a model #1212 winchester fishing reel and would like to know if it's worth selling

This is the sort of thing that is perfect for eBay or Craigslist. It depends a lot on condition, it could be worth $25 or more in mint condition; but it's probably not a big ticket item. Our focus is coins and jewelry. Marc
