I'm not quite following this, it's hard to appraise a piece without knowing the specific artist and the medium. If there is a signature, a close-up photo would help. It looks like an oil painting in the genre of the Hudson River School, circ 19th Century. If it is a secondary artist of that school and dates to the period, it probably would have an insurance or replacement value of $1,200-2,500. But it's probably a get-what-you-can item if you're selling. I'm sorry I can't tell you more without knowing more. Marc

26" x 40" framed. It was given to my father, by his parents. His parents were both first generation Americans whose main residence was Brooklyn. It looks like there is lettering in the grass near the rocks.
I dont think the MA Miller plaque on the frame is attributed to name of artist, nor is it a Charles Miller as noted by a typewittem note on the back.
