I'm not sure the appraised value neccesarily exceeds the melt value, currently about $2,800. All collectible items are inherently unique, each somewhat different from others. It also depends on what kind of appraisal you are talking about. I could write an insurance replacement value for $4,500 and it would be justified, but I can't point you to anyone who would pay $3,000. As for the other pieces, I recommend you read our blogs. Value is priced more on demand than availability; scarcity and uniqueness do not necessarily translate to value. There may be few people looking for that one unusual thing, and it's not as if having it completes a set of anything.

Textured gold brooch with pin mechanism- has markings 18K GB? maker marking- unable to identify maker. Weight 26.64 grams. Given the unique design looking for appraisal (identification of maker) rather than just melt (scrap value).
Have a few other unique pieces also.
