Im new to coins. I just started going through a jar I've had for years. I found a Bicentennial quarter and I found two 1974 quarters a 1966 a 1987. Different things I saw online and I found so many more. I just used what I learned and see if my coins are anything

Bicentennial quarters are just 25 cents. If it is a proof coin or uncirculated it might be worth more but since it's been sitting in your jar, guessing it is circulated and you can spend it. Quarters were silver through 1964 so if you have a 1964 or earlier quarter, you have silver and it's worth the intrinsic silver value.

There are lots of people online promoting high values for common coins. You may notice there is no way to reach these people. Take a look at our blog:
