Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. 1942 no mint Lincoln wheat penny
Just a penny.... book value fifty cents

$2000 give or take Mostly the gold!
D. Mint strike errors ???
Looks like damage after leaving the mint. I do not know of any mint errors that would leave a coin looking like that.

D. Dime I found has some serious mint errors.
Not every mangled damaged coin is a mint error. Your bank might exchange it for a dime.
D. We have an 1829 Liberty 50c piece for appraisal.
Those old half dollars are one of the most common denominations but still lovely. Probably 60 or $70, would you like to sell it?
