Most world coins are worth about their weight in gold. Yes it's old but most of the value is in the precious metal. If by "24" you mean 24 karat gold, that is not likely. Typically such coins are in the 20-22K range. We can test the purity with an XRF gun in our office. It may be a dinar, c. 698-709 A.D. Even if it tests close to 24K, it has heavy wear and evidence of past cleanings. Still, an interesting coin with a beautiful design and fascinating history, possibly Umayyad, Abbasid or Fatimid. Not the crosshairs of our expertise but quite likely in the range of $500-600 in value.
