SUBMIT AN ITEM FOR FREE APPRAISAL

We kindly ask you to limit your request to ONE item, preferably with images of both sides. We specialize in items that are older and of some historic importance. Please include photos of both sides if possible.

We may use your appraisal on our site as reference for others with the same item(s). We'll never display your personal information and will remove all sensitive information from your submission. Please contact us for a private appraisal. View our privacy policy.

Most inquiries we get are about circulated coins made after 1971, and/or coins where people mistake post-mint damage and wear for "errors". You can expect us to affirm these are face value. We ask that before you write and submit such questions, to PLEASE first read through our existing postings and our "what it's worth" primers.

D. Would like to have my coins appraised because I think I have a few rare ones and there in pretty good condition

Everybody thinks their coins are rare just because they don't see things like that. Did you get the Coins from an auction? Did you get them from a dealer? Did you get them from an old time collector? If the answer to those questions is no, they're probably not rare and probably not valuable. But if you submit pictures will take a look and tell you what we think.

D. over stamp mint mark

This is a damaged mint mark, not an overdate.

D. 1967 Quarter

Even uncirculated 1967 quarters are basically a quarter! They are common.

D. Usually I can find existing error coins that I have found on line...cut coins, cuds, off center coins...after extensive searches, I am unable to find this quarter anywhere. I want to know if I found something unique in this circulated laundry mat quarter :0)

This coin-and I suspect it's the case with the best majority of so-called error coins you find--not an error coin. It's just heavily worn. The fact that you found it in a laundromat suggest that maybe It made a few rounds in the dryer before it was found.

D. 1p piece

As marked, it is a penny from the United Kingdom. Spend it in good health.

D. The B in LIBERTY is a D here

Give me liderty or give me beath!

D. Is this a mint error on the reverse?, What looks like an arrow going through the eagles neck. If so, what it’s worth, if anything more than face value?

If it's raised above the surface it's a die crack worth about $25. If it's recessed it's probably just a worthless scratch.
